Painted Petals One Layer Cards and more

By | 2 March 2015

Today’s two main cards are one layer Note Cards featuring this week’s stamp set, Painted Petals.  This stamp set is available in wood, clear mount and photopolymer so you can choose your preferred form of stamp and one that fits your budget.

For those new to my blog, each Monday introduce a current stamp set and a card or two using it. Then over the following two days I show other creations using the same stamp set, so you can see the versatility of the stamp set.

The first two cards I have to show today are actually cased from the Occasions Catalogue.   You can see them on page 18.  The Stampin’ Up! catalogues are not just full of products to buy, but also full of lots of ideas and inspiration.  Make sure you remember to look at your catalogues for inspiration too.

I then decided to play around with these cards a little more.   I made another card like the first one with the same flower stamp but this time using some lighter colours – Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzaz with the Soft Sky dots accents at the bottom.  This one is actually more than a one layer card.  My original stamping onto my Note Card didn’t go so well, as I got ink from my block on my flower, so I restamped it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock  cut just slightly smaller than the Note Card and adhered with Dimensionals to add a feature to the card.

And lastly, my second stripped card had an ink splotch on the left side, so I decided to add some ribbon to hide it and step up the card a little more.
