Auckland Christmas Extravaganza – Pine Cones Triple Panel Card

By | 21 November 2017

The Pine Cones Triple Panel Card was the card my team and I taught on Saturday at the Auckland Extravaganza event.  This is an event put on by the Creative Inkers team, which is a larger Stampin’ Up! demonstrators team that I am a part of.  This card features the Christmas Happiness stamp set, which I think is a great Christmas stamp set for us here in New Zealand.

We taught the guests how to mask the pine cones to give the effect of the leaves being behind in the background with the pine cones in the foreground.  The stamped image was then cut into three panels and adhered to Old Olive cardstock to create a three panel card effect.  You could do triple panel card technique with a variety of stamped images.

We texture embossed the background with the Layering Leaves 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder.  If you have used one of these thicker embossing folders, check out my video on how to use them.

This card also features the Year of Cheer embellishments.  These come in gold and silver, so some cards had a gold embellishment with gold mini sequin trim, and others had silver.

I also like to stamp the inside of the card and envelope.  I think it really ties it all together and it shows the extra effort you have gone to.

Product List

Extravaganza is an enjoyable day.  Not only do you come away with five beautiful projects, but you also learn new techniques and tips throughout the day and you get to play with lot of new Stampin’ Up! products.  There are also a lot of displays to inspire you too.

Come back over the next few days to see the other four projects that were made at the event.
