Altered Wood Crate Memo Box

By | 26 July 2017

This altered wood crate memo box was the project that my team and I taught at the Auckland Extravaganza event last Saturday.

Altered Crate Memo Box using Wood Crate Dies

We wanted to who our guests see another way that they could use the Wood Crate Framelits Dies.  This altered wood crate memo box was designed by one of our team members, Kylie Burke.

We wanted to decorate the outside of our memo box with the the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, but it would be too thin on it’s own to make a box, so we adhered this paper to Thick Whisper White cardstock.  This made it a lot stronger.

The memo box is filled with 8cm squares of photocopy paper, so that it can be used as a memo cube.  We stamped a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Tree Rings stamp set and sponged it to put this on top.   You don’t need to fill it with memo paper.  You could also use it as a gift box for someone!
