Woodland Embossing Folder Technique

By | 1 December 2015

Today’s card features a technique that uses the Woodland Embossing Folder which I taught last week at my classes.  This card was inspired by a creation by Sally Williams.  She used the Winter Wonderland stamp set which I really like, but don’t have, so I used one of the trees from the Festival of Trees stamp set. Another great stamp set to use for this card would be Lovely As a Tree.

Here is the card front.  It wasn’t till after I had made the card and taken a photo, that I realised for this one I had stamped the trees upside down on the embossing folder, but I don’t think it is too noticeable and sometimes branches do hang down.  Had you noticed before I mentioned it?

Here are some of the cards the ladies from my Sunday afternoon class made.  They did stamp their trees the right way up!

The card on the bottom left didn’t quite have enough ink on the bottom of the embossing folder, but it actually looks like snow and like it was meant to be like that.  Isn’t it great that sometimes something doesn’t quite go how we expected, but it turns out even better.
