Why I’m Thankful For My Stamping Business!

Today is Thanksgiving in America, so I thought I would take the time to reflect why I am thankful for my Stampin’ Up! Business.

I admit when I started, I joined for the discount and to earn some money to help pay for my stamping hobby by holding a class or two a month with some friends and hoping for some orders. As a stay at home mum, and also a trained secondary school teacher, the prospect of doing some teaching also appealed to me. Stampin’ Up! gave me this opportunity to teach again and to share something creative that I liked doing. It also gave me something different to do from being a mum. I love being a mum, but this gives me a change from the day-to-day chores of washing, cooking, looking after the kids, etc.

I joined up over three years ago and things have grown from that. I now teach at least two classes per month and larger events like Extravaganza three times a year, as well as classes for private groups of people. I have done the occasional workshop and I would like to do more of these. I originally started out with just card making, but since starting, I have branched out into making 3D projects, like gifts, boxes etc, and also done a little scrapbooking and Project Life.

I am thankful for the wonderful people I have met along the way through Stampin’ Up! and for all the support I have received.  It is great to be part of a larger team.  I have enjoyed the many events I have been to.  These includes things like stamp camp, team training, On Stage and much more.  I have now started my own team and it is great to be able to share and support others.

I am very thankful for my Stampin’ Up! Business. It has paid for my stamping hobby and provided some extra money too, given the opportunity to meet and work with wonderful people and it also gives me a lot of enjoyment as I share my creativity with others. I look forward to 2016 and the opportunity to see my business grow.

If you too would like to know more about the opportunity to join Stampin’ Up! you can find out more here, or feel free to contact me.

If you are from America, Happy Thanksgiving.  If not, I hope you too will take the time to think about what you are thankful for!
