Thursday’s Tip: Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive

By | 7 April 2016

Stampin’ Up have many great adhesives, but the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive is one adhesive that I use the most.  It adheres really well and fairly quickly, but it still gives you enough time to move your what you are adhering together a little if you need to.

Here are some tips when using the adhesive:

  • Squeeze the bottle to get the glue flowing, but gently so you don’t get too much.  Be careful to do this away from your project or on a piece of scrap paper, so if you do get more than you expected, it doesn’t spoil your project.
  • If you do get too much, then use a toothpick or another similar object to apply drops of the excess glue to where you need it.
  • Also remember that there are two ends to the bottle.  The top end has a narrow point so you can leave a thin strip of glue.  The other end has an applicator that helps you spread the glue around.  Just make sure you don’t have both ends open at once, because if you do and you squeeze the bottle, it will come out both ends at once.

When the glue doesn’t want to come out of the bottle, try these two tips:

  1. Clean the tip of the small end of the container with your fingers or a tissue to remove any build up.
  2. Insert a needle or a paper clip into the hole to clear any built up of glue.

Lastly, you don’t need to use a lot of this adhesive on your project.  Too much and it will squeeze out the sides leaving a sticky mess on your project – although you can use the Adhesive Remover to remove it, but it is better if you don’t get it there in the first place.  So just use a small amount and this little bottle will last a while.

If you would like to purchase some Liquid Multipurpose Adhesive or any other Stampin’ Up products, and you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to be your Demonstrator.  You can either order online through my online store, or email me directly.
