Thursday’s Tip: How To Make A Waterfall Card Video

By | 4 May 2017

The Waterfall Card is a fun card to make.  It will wow your family and friends!  Today I am sharing a video with you that I made a while ago, but haven’t shared for while, showing you how to make a Waterfall Card.

Here are some samples of the Waterfall Card:

Here is close up photo of a Waterfall Card featuring the Traveler Stamp Set which will be retiring at the end of this month!  it is available in both wood and clear. I have used Early Espresso and Baked Brown Sugar.  Baked Brown Sugar is a retired colour, but I am sure you can find some other great combinations to use.

Here is a close up of a Waterfall Card featuring the Flower Shop Stamp Set, available in both wood and clear.   The colours used in this card are Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana which both retired, but again, I am sure you can come up with your own wonderful colour combinations.

In the video  I used brads.  Stampin’ Up! no longer sells these, but that is okay as you can make the card without the brads.  Just adhere the strip either side of the slide down piece with Tear & Tape or Liquid Multipurpose Glue.   Make sure you don’t put adhesive too close to the slide part, so it still works.  If you wish, you could add a Enamel Shape, Metal Rimmed Pearl, or something similar to replace the brad, so it looks similar to the cards above, but you don’t really need one so you could just leave it out all together.

Measurements in Inches:

Card base – 1 x A4 Early Espresso in half lengthways, 4 ⅛” x 11 ⅝”
Front of card – 1 x Baked Brown Sugar 5 ⅝” x 3 ⅞”
Inside card -1 x Very Vanilla 5 ⅝” x 3 ⅞”
For front piece to achieve the waterfall technique
1x Early Espresso 9″ x 2”, 1 x Early Espresso ¾” x 4″, 4 x Early Espresso 2” x 2”, 4 x Very Vanilla 1 ⅞” x 1 ⅞”
Score the 9” x 2” strip of Early Espresso cardstock at 2″, 2¾”, 3 ½”, and 4 ¼” along the longer side.

Measurements in Centimetres:
