Painted Petals with the Raised Die Technique

By | 25 May 2015

Over the past few months I have been featuring a product of the week.  However the Occasions catalogue is nearly on its final week, so I thought I would do something a little different this week and share some creations over the next few days, each made with some of my favourite stamp sets from this catalogue.

Today’s card features the Painted Petals Stamp Set.  This is such a versatile stamp set.  It has lovely flowers which are created with the two-step stamping technique and then it also has some other stamps like spots and strips so you can create all sorts of backgrounds and designs on your cards, envelopes and scrapbooking pages.

The stamping on today’s “Thanks” card is fairly simple, but I then used the raised die cutting technique to make it a little extra special and appealing.

Here is a variation on this card.  It is Happy Birthday card using the “happy” thinlit die and this time I matted it onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock.

Here are the lovely creations the ladies made at my class on Sunday afternoon.

I like what Kylie did to her card (top right).  She sponged the edges of her top piece of card with Wisteria Wonder ink and it creates a lovely effect.

If you really like this stamp set, make sure you purchase it now while it is still available in the Ocassions catalogue.  I will be putting in an order tomorrow night (Tuesday 26th May), so please let me know by 8pm, if you would like to place an order.  Alternatively you can order through my online store anytime.  Remember this catalogue is only available until 2nd June.

If you would like to learn how to make this type of card, I am doing a repeat of Sunday’s class on Tuesday 9th June at 7:30pm.  I would love to have you come along.

Have a great week.
