Happy Easter With A Cute Easter Rabbit Box!

Happy Easter!  Here is a cute Easter Rabbit Box made with the Fry Box Die.   Although this is a retired die it is currently on the Clearance Rack at a great reduced price.  I have also used various punches and dies to make the rabbit.  Isn’t it cute? And perfect for a couple of marshmallow Easter eggs too.

Easter rabbit box

Easter Rabbit Box Supplies:

Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Basic Black,

Punches: 1″ Circle Punch, 3/4″ Circle Punch, Owl Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (Heart), Small Oval Punch

Dies: Fry Box Bigz L Die, Oval Collection Framelits

Other: Big Shot, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, White Stampin’ Chalk Marker, Tear & Tape

This is a fun box to make for Easter.  Although we enjoy Easter eggs, and think of rabbit and chicks at Easter, I hope you will take the time to remember the true meaning of Easter.  This being the time of year that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.  I would encourage you to attend an Easter Service this weekend and reflect on this Christian holiday and what it means to you.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend!

Thursday’s Tip: How To Best Die Cut Stamped Images

When you use your Big Shot and dies to die cut stamped images, do you find that sometimes they don’t fit the stamped image?

Why is this and what can you do to make it easier?

Check out my video and learn how to die cut stamped images easily!

Thanks for watching.  I would love to hear from you.  Was this something new to you?  What did you think?  Please comment below.

Extra Special So Detailed Gate Fold Card

The So Detailed Gate Fold Card is one that I taught at my weekend class a couple of weeks ago.  It is a card that is extra special with the unique way it opens.

Here is the front of the card.  It looks very elegant in  Basic Black, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla, with a touch of gold for the bee.

Elegant So Detailed Thinlits Card In Sweet Sugarplum

The So Detailed Thinlits Dies are very pretty and have so much potential.  They are one of my favourite dies at the moment. This is a card I created and taught at my coffee group class a few weeks ago.

So Detailed Sweet Sugarplum card

I have used the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper on this card and adhered the lacy looking die-cut pieces cut in Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  The So Detailed Thinlits Dies create a stunning card with minimal effort.  They are best cut with the Precision Plate as this helps the die cut all the delicate pieces.  I then used the Big Shot Dies Brush and rolled it gently over the top and most, if not all, the excess pieces came away.

Stamp Sets: So in Love*

Ink: Soft Sweet Sugarplum, Crumb Cake

Card/Paper: Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla, Falling in Love Designer Series Paper

Other: Stampin’ Trimmer, Bone Folder, Big Shot, Precision Plate, So Detailed Thinlits Dies*, Big Shot Die Brush, Very Vanilla ¼” Satin Ribbon

*The So in Love Stamp Set and So Detailed Thinlits Dies can be purchased together as a bundle and you save 10%.

If you would like to purchase any Stampin’ Up! products, and you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to be your Demonstrator.  You can either order online through my online store, or email me directly.  Please also check out my Loyalty Programme.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Over the next few days, I will share with you some other creations created with the So Detailed Thinlits Dies, so I hope you will come back and visit and be inspired some more!

Thursday’s Tip: Using Up All Your Multipurpose Liquid Glue!

I use the Multipurpose Liquid  Glue a lot on my cards and other projects.  This is also sometimes known as Tombow.  It may be a small bottle, but it can go a long way with careful use.  It adheres cardstock, Designer Series Paper, textured card, embellishments, 3D projects, etc, really well and quickly.  It also gives you a little time to adjust the placing of the piece you have adhered, if you need to.  It dries clear too.

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I don’t like to waste any of the glue left in the bottle, but it can sometimes be difficult to get the last of it out, so here is a tip on how I try and use it all up.  Beware that you may get sticky hands when you do this and you will need to wash them well afterwards!

As you can see from this photo, I have accumulated a few nearly empty glue bottles and now I am ready to get what I can out of them!

How to use up as much of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue as you can:

1) Put scrap paper down first on the surface you are working on, as it is likely to get sticky.

2) With one of the glue bottles that is nearly empty, take the green cap off the larger end.  Out of all your near empty glue bottles, feel the weight of them and use the one that feels the heaviest for this as it will most likely have the most left in it. Then pull off the glue applicator and keep this safe.  Now you have a hole to put some of the extra glue into.

3) With some old but sharp scissors, cut the near empty glues bottles open.

4) Use a plastic knife or ice block stick to scrap out any of the leftover glue.  You may be surprised by how much is still in there!

5) Carefully wipe the glue into the hole of the first bottle you took the applicator out of.  You may have to gently squeeze the bottle a little to get rid of any air bubbles.  Keep this bottle upright at all times.  Use a cup to hold it in if you need to.

6) Once you have got out all the glue you can, wipe around the hole with a damp cloth or wipe to clean it. Replace the glue applicator and put on the green lid.  Collect all the empty bottles and scrap paper and throw them all away.  Wash your hands well!

I hope you have found this useful and you are able to get some more glue out of your Multipurpose Liquid Glue!

Extravaganza Altered Gift Bag – Dragonfly Dreams

This is the altered gift bag that I made for each of my guests who came to the Auckland Extravaganza event last weekend. Each Extravaganza I enjoy coming up with a new design to decorate my guests’ kraft gift bag.  For this design, I decided to keep it similar to the card our team taught at the event.  I used the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and dies, Falling in Love Designer Series Paper and Lace Dollies to decorate the bag.

March Extravaganza Altered Gift Bag with Dragonfly

Here is a close up the main decorated part of the gift bag:
