Today’s card is a Overlapping Gate Fold card featuring the Awesome Artistic stamp set which I recently I taught at my classes.
The card opens like a gate fold, but the overlapping part allows you to include a lovely stamped image on the front of the card. Here is the card we made.
I love the rich colour created with the Rich Razzleberry card base. The other colours I have stamped with are Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. The Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper also includes Sweet Sugarplum and the little extra banner poking out has a touch of Island Indigo. The Ruched Ribbon I used is Dapper Denim. This adds a nice contrast to the card and the bow on the right helps keep the flap closed.
Here is the inside of the card. I have sponged the edges and added some DSP to coordinate.
With a couple of scored lines either side, rather than down the middle, you too can make a card that will impress your family and friends.
