By | 29 September 2016

Have you tried to use your Photopolymer stamps and found that they don’t stick to your clear block so well anymore?  If, so this is what you can do.

  1. Wash your photopolymer stamps in a small bowl of very warm water with a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid.
  2. Rinse the stamps in another bowl of warm clear water.
  3. Set out on lint-free cloth to air dry.

Your photopolymer stamps will be nice and “sticky” again.

Have you wondered why they lose their stickiness?  With lots of handling, oils from out hands and other dirt gets picked up onto the stamp and so effecting the surface of the stamp and making it lose its stickiness.  Cleaning it in warm soapy water removes all this.  Cleaning your stamp after each use with the Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist is still important and helps condition them, but every now and then it needs a little more!

Extra Tip: Make sure you count your stamps before you take the plug out. Don’t let a teeny tiny bike frame or a microscopic flower centre go down the drain!
Please note:  If the stamps are stained from ink, this method won’t remove the stain. But, that doesn’t matter as they still stamp fine and sometimes a little colour on them actually makes them easier to see ad find.
