Today’s Overlapping Off Centre Gate Fold Card features the Dashing Deer stamp set. It is a great style of card that is something a little different from your standard card.
This card was inspired by a similar one that was taught to us at our team training a month or so ago. The card was originally designed by Karen Hadler. I made a couple of subtle changes to it and then I taught at my classes at home this month.
The colours used in this card are Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide, along with Whisper White. Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide are soon becoming my favourite colours for Christmas themed cards of projects this year! So much so I have had to order more cardstock in both colours.
I love the detail on the pattern on the deer. This pattern looks great both heat embossed in gold as well as just stamped with ink. The Copper Emboss Powder doesn’t turn out quite as detailed as this. I think that is because it is a slightly thicker powder.
