Country Home Card With Shimmer & Shine!

By | 24 October 2018

Today’s card features some shimmer and shine which was created with some Frosted White Shimmer Paint.  It may be hard to see on this texture embossed background, but there is some shimmer and shine.  This was the second card that I taught at my card classes that were held in my home this month.

To create the shimmer and shine, I mixed some Isobutyl Alcohol and a few drops of Frosted White Shimmer Paint in a Stampin’ Spritzer.  I shook it well to make sure it was well mixed.  I sprayed it on my piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.  I had scrap paper underneath it so that I didn’t make my work area messy. I then carefully placed the spritzed piece of cardstock into the Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder making sure it was centred before putting it through the Big Shot.  It came out with a lovely deep textured image with some shimmer too!

The stamped image on this card is from the Country Home stamp set.  The Tin Tile embossing folder, Chicken Wire Element and Country Home stamp set are all part of the Country Lane Suite!

The flowers were coloured with Stampin’ Blends.  The ladies in the class also had the option of colouring with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. Some choose that option and it gave a softer look.

There is no coordinating die set with this stamp set, so I fussy cut the coloured image and adhered it to the Stitched Framelits oval with Mini Dimensionals.
