A Card With Room For Everyone To Sign

By | 30 January 2015

How do you make a card with lots of room for everyone to sign and write their own personal message in?  Create a unique folding card!

Last year I had the privilege of making a card for a friend’s 40th.   I was asked to make a card that lots of people could sign.  It was a challenge to create something with lots of space for writing on and so I asked my fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for some suggestions.  One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that there is a lot of support from other demonstrators.  Thank you Paula Reid for the inspiration for this card.

Cards with coordinating envelopes

I made two of these cards.  You can see them above with their coordinating envelopes.  When the card is closed it is about the same size as a standard card, but watch what happens when you open it all up…  There is lots of room for everyone to write their birthday messages.

The card base was made from a 12″ x 12″ piece of  Primrose Petals cardstock.  You just have to know where to score and fold it and then add all the Designer Series Paper and the panels for writing on.

While I was making it, I decided to make a second one, but this time with a Pool Party card base.

The Designer Series Paper I used in these cards was Lullaby.

I would be interested to know which colour combination your prefer.  Do you prefer the first one with the Primrose Petals card base, or the second one with the Pool Party card base?  Please leave your comments below.
